RocketClass vs Class Manager

Class Manager is free until you take money. Then every payment carries its charge.

Class Manager: class administration software with no monthly fee, charging per online payment instead.

Class Manager inverts the usual model: no subscription, with its revenue taken as a service charge on every payment your parents make online. That can suit a club taking little money online; the catch is that the rate is the one number its pricing page does not print.

Where these figures come from

  • Class Manager's pricing page describes a zero monthly subscription with “just a flat service charge for any payments processed online”, a fee per transaction, and tailored pricing for high volumes on contact. Source
  • Our own prices are on our pricing page, and they are the same prices you pay.

When to choose Class Manager instead

If you are brand new, cash-poor and taking most payments outside the platform, Class Manager's no-subscription model is a rational way to start; revisit the sums when online payments become your normal.

Questions people actually ask

Isn't free-until-you-earn the fairest model?

For a club taking very little money online, honestly, yes, and we say so in the table above. The model turns against you as online payments become most of your revenue, because the charge rides on every one, and you cannot model it in advance if the rate is not published.

What does Class Manager do better?

The starting cost. No subscription means a brand-new club risks nothing on software while it finds its feet.

What is a good Class Manager alternative with a published, flat cost?

We charge £29 or £59 a month, published, with no charge on your payments; only Stripe's standard card fee applies and it goes to Stripe, not us. You can put your cost in a spreadsheet before you sign up.
